We’re so glad you’re here. At Sumits Yoga, our classes are designed for every body—whether you’re brand new to yoga or an experienced practitioner. Our unique practice offers a complete mind-body escape that leaves you feeling stronger, more flexible, and deeply centered. With consistent practice, you’ll notice improved focus, balance, and an overall sense of well-being.
(Participants must be 18 or older. Ages 14–17 are welcome with a signed parent waiver.)
Please arrive 20 minutes before class begins to check in, complete a short registration form, and let your instructor know of any injuries or health concerns.
What to Wear
Dress in lightweight, breathable clothing that you feel comfortable sweating in. Avoid cotton when possible. No shoes are worn in the studio.
For men: Shorts with compression inserts or netting; shirts are optional.
For women: Leggings, capris, or shorts with a sports bra or tank top. (Bikinis, underwear, or similar attire are not permitted.)
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the day and after your class. You’re welcome to bring your own water bottle or purchase one in-studio. Electrolyte drinks like Vitalyte can also help before, during, or after class.
Practice on an Empty Stomach
Allow at least 2 hours after eating before class. Everyone’s different, so find the timing that feels best for your body.
Bring the Essentials
Please bring a yoga mat, large towel, water, and appropriate attire. First-time students may borrow a mat and towel at no charge. After your first visit, we offer high-quality rentals and retail options in-studio. Don’t forget to bring a photo ID for your first class.
During Class
Please remain in the studio for the full duration of class. If you need to rest, simply sit or lie quietly on your mat. Over time, you’ll find breaks become less necessary as you adjust to the heat and rhythm of your breath.
If you must leave early, please let your instructor know before class begins so they can help you exit quietly.
A Lifelong Practice
Yoga is for everyone—all ages, body types, and experience levels. The most important part of your practice is focusing on your breath and doing your best in each pose. You’ll gain all the benefits, even if you’re not as flexible or balanced as someone beside you.
To experience the best results, aim to practice four times per week. Even with fewer sessions, you’ll still feel the transformation—just give yourself time and patience.
